Difference between SEM and PPC

Firstly, let us understand the difference between SEM & PPC:

SEM : Search engine marketing (SEM) can deliver large numbers of qualified prospects and the most cost-effective marketing vehicle for driving qualified traffic to your website. Search Engine Marketing is the first solution in the industry, helping you to optimize your site’s relevancy and visibility to improve your search ranking options.

Search Engine Marketing, as the name specifies that we can advertise our product/service through search engines (like Google, Yahoo etc…).

SEM has two main categories.

Paid: In this approach you try to drive the traffic by spending the money. PPC is one of the method to get an instant traffic. Where you will pay money to the advertising service provider only when someone clicks on your Ad. Some of the advertising service providers are Google AdWords from Google, Bing Advertising by Microsoft, Yahoo! Advertising by Yahoo!.

Organic mainly covers textual content, although can include images, and video too.

SEO is slower to see results, but last longer as pages can naturally rank in Google and Bing for free.

Pay Per Click, can be set up in a matter of minutes and generate traffic quickly, although as soon as your budget is gone, your visibility is gone too.
